Introducing the Summer 2022 PIT-DSC Cohort

The Summer 2022 Public Interest Technology – Data Science Corps, PIT-DSC, program kicked off on June 6, 2022. 23 interns from Barnard College, Columbia University, and Lehman College met with 5 project mentors, and the program staff at Columbia University. The intro Boot Camp (June 6 – June 10, 2022) featured Github and Git training, Data Storytelling and Project Management presentations, a Public Interest Technology Career Panel, a Graduate School Admissions Information session, and a special seminar with Eric Corbett, Ph.D., about Supporting Trust in Civic Relationships through Relational Approaches to Technology Design, sponsored the Department of Statistics and the Data Science Institute at Columbia University. 

Project teams are busy at work. Their efforts will be showcased in August 2022 on the Columbia University campus. The date and time will be announced during the summer.
