Meet the 2022 STARs

The Department of Statistics is pleased to welcome the inaugural Summer Training for Aspiring Researchers (STAR) Program cohort! In the next five weeks, 13 undergraduate students aspiring researchers in statistics, data science, or related fields, will train in mathematics, probability, statistics, programming, and research skills. Through select rigorous courses, skill acquisition workshops, networking events, and research seminars, the program provides participants with intensive training and rewarding opportunities for professional and personal development.
