Dr. Banu Baydil recognized for her DEI leadership!
Congratulations to Dr. Banu Baydil for being recognized for her leadership in DEI. She was selected as an inaugural recipient of the Division of Natural Sciences Award for DEI & Outreach. 
 
Dr. Baydil was celebrated at the A&S Division of Natural Sciences Faculty Recognition Reception on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 for her leadership in our department’s DEI efforts. She started a summer program for underserved undergraduate students who are aspiring to become future researchers in statistics, data science, or a related field. She also leads our department’s graduate equity initiative award that provides opportunity scholarships to MA students from underserved communities.
