Chenyang Zhong received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford University in 2022 advised by Prof. Persi Diaconis. His research interests revolve around Markov chain Monte Carlo (including design of efficient sampling algorithms and their convergence rate analysis), probability (including random permutation models, random matrix theory, and interacting particle systems), and statistical machine learning. He is also enthusiastic about the applications to scientific problems.
