Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) Employer Info Session

On Thursday, November 17th at 11:45 AM ET, Dr. Steve Rabinowitz from the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) will be visiting via Zoom to discuss career opportunities in national security analysis.
The presentation will describe career opportunities at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), a non-profit corporation supporting the Department of Defense and other federal government agencies with multi-disciplinary research. IDA assists the United States Government in addressing important national security issues, particularly those requiring scientific and technical expertise. IDA takes great pride in the high caliber and timeliness of its analyses, which are produced in an atmosphere that encourages independent thinking and objective results. Full-time positions as Research Staff Members and Research Associates are available to qualified candidates with Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines including physical and life sciences, statistics, social sciences, engineering, and international affairs. IDA also runs a Summer Associate program for graduate students and rising senior undergraduates and a two-year Science Policy Fellowship and three-year Data Science Fellowships, both for recent bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients. Please note that all applicants must be able to obtain a security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
PRESENTER:
Dr. Steve Rabinowitz is an alumnus of Columbia College (BA Physics 1984) and GSAS (PhD Physics 1992). He has been working in IDA’s Operational Evaluation Division for 30 years, where he is the senior analyst on the Undersea Warfare task.
