WELCOME, JAN WONG!

Jan is excited to join the Department of Statistics as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement for the MA program. Prior to joining Columbia, he served as the Assistant Director of Academic Support at NYU, where he provided academic advising to undergraduate students and oversaw the operations of the peer tutoring centers. He is originally from Boston, where he also completed his undergraduate and graduate studies. Jan has higher education experience within residential life, academic advising, student support program development and academic program management. He is looking forward to leveraging his skills and experiences to create an engaging and inclusive learning community for master’s students.
