For this summer’s STAR Program, the department is seeking 5-6 qualified and motivated MA students to serve as mentors for our undergraduate participants. What is the STAR Program?
A six-week training program that takes place in person and on campus, during the Summer Session A term (May 22-June 30) for undergraduate students interested in statistics, data science, computer science, and other related fields. Program offers include a subsidized graduate-level class, seminars and workshops, and networking events. Most STAR participants are from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
Workload and compensation:
- 10 hours per week between May 22nd to June 30, 2023
- $21.5 per hour
