Prerequisite: M 255 and M 261.

Required Text: Mathamtical Statistics and its Applications, 2rd Edition by Richard J. Larsen and Morris L. Marx

Course Objectives:

To introduce the fundamental concepts of probability including axioms of probability, random variables and special distributions.
To provide the necessary probability background required for a course in mathematical statistics (ST 430).
