Aditya's expertise in statistics was honed by an internship experience as a Statistical Analyst at the United Nations’ Peacekeeping Financing Division (PFD) in New York from November 2005 to March 2006. In April 2006, he joined United Nations, New York, as an Assistant Finance Officer specializing in peacekeeping budgets and finance, utilizing his expertise in managing large amounts of data to forecast peacekeeping missions' salary costs for international staff members, and developed the necessary skills for Results Based Budgeting (RBB) and how to identify measurable outputs required by UN bodies while monitoring budgets and programme results. He is currently working as Associate Budget Officer in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, specializing in preparation and administration of MONUC budget. With a budget exceeding one billion dollars and more than 18,000 military and police presence, MONUC is the largest and most expensive mission in the Department of Peace Keeping Operations (DPKO). Aditya was born in 1983 in India and moved to the United States at the age of 18 to attain a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from George Mason University (GMU), Virginia, graduating in May 2004 before moving to New York in January 2005.
